The Hell You Say!

The Bastard Junior Strikes Again!!!

Buddies

with one comment

It never ceases to amaze me how many buddies pop up out of the wood work when they have a computer problem. I am sure this goes for auto mechanics, welders, electricians, doctors, and many other occupations.  And when you need their service, no matter how small, It’s “well that is gonna be X number of dollars” or “I don’t really have the time”.
So, I have a real simple solution to all the B.S. involved.   Don’t ask me for something for free.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Friend are Friends, Business is Business. Period, the end.
The long and short of it is this:   As a IT professional, I have spent $20,000 for school, more than $500 on professional certifications, and countless hours studying and researching on current and upcoming technologies.  If you don’t want to pay me what I am asking (which is about $30 less than everyone else in town), then take it to someone else!
The whole family equation is a different story, but you already know that.
So, the next time you have an issue and you know of someone in that line of work, at least offer to give him/her a little something for helping you out.
