The Hell You Say!

The Bastard Junior Strikes Again!!!

Thought for the Day 4/22/06

We in this family have a capacity rub folks the wrong way. We don’t intend to do this (most of the time anyways), but with our “no play games, no play politics, see bullshit- call bullshit” philosophy … just happens. My brother the Bastard has told me on more than one occasion “There is such a thing as too honest” and the Matriarch calls it “brutal honesty”. Well, I am pissed. And this is prolly going to be ugly, rub folks the wrong way, and give folks a dose of the red ass. Here goes.

I consider myself a fairly conservative person. Feel like a country’s government has an obligation to its citizens first. We send billions of dollars to feed the starving babies in Africa, or Asia, or help some third world country develop a birth control strategy. We send our military all over the world to keep the peace in places that have been fighting since the dawn of time.

All of this needs to stop.

Charity starts at home. Here in the U.S.A., we have all kinds of starving babies that need to be fed. Countless veterans and mentally handicapped persons living homeless on the streets, because the government has cut funding to the necessary mental health programs that would help them lead a half-ass normal life. World wide, for a super power, our public education system sucks. Why?

Oil companies show RECORD!!!! Profits, while we pay $3.00 plus per gallon of gasoline, and get told we are paying a exorbitant amount of money for fuel, because folks were killed in the middle east, there is a ethanol shortage, we are in an oil crunch, or some other reason. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! There is all kind of oil around. Oil shale in the Rocky Mountains, oil sands in Canada, more damn oil than can be hauled this century in Alaska. Ethanol is made from corn. Has there been a corn famine in the news that I missed? Hell No!! Corn producers say they have enough ethanol to spare. Nothing saddens me more than when I hear of a U.S. Soldier, Marine, Airman, Sailor, Coast Guardsman, Reservist, or Civilian Worker getting killed in a foreign conflict. But to have the oil companies using this as an excuse for a fuel rate increase…

  1. How do people expect to change the worlds problems when their neighbours are struggling to eat? Why send soldiers overseas when terrorists are in their own country? You Americans are a little bit screwed up yourselves, yet Mr. Bush believes it his duty to help those in Afganistan, rather than the homeless people outside his beoved White House? Don’t get me wrong, Aussies are the same. But, believe it or not, America leads the world in everything. Monkey see, Monkey do. xx

  3. When we lived in Midland we were sitting right on top of the second largest oil pool in the world. They shut 90% of those wells down so we could buy “cheap” fuel overseas. When I hear shortage my blood boils.

  4. Now first let me comend you Adam, you done a good post here. And then let me say this there is no shortage of gas and oil, its all bullshit, I been to Prudoe Bay, worked there, and there is enough oil and gas to last this country 200 years. They are burning the gas because they don’t heve the means to pipe it the lower 48 yet. And also in the ‘Rocky mountains there is more oil and gas than there is SaudiaArabia. Chevorn’s profit for the first quarter of this year was 4billion, Exxon Mobil was 8.4 billion profit in the first quarter of this year, and by the way that is what the Bush clan owns. And also the ceo that left Mobil got 4 million in retirment. Shortage, I don’t think so, and if you believe that, O well ——————————
